Some things just fit. People. Places. There's no logical rhyme or reason how or why, they just do. Kismet. Unspoken connections. Fate. It doesn't always make sense. But does it have to? When something happens and everything about it just falls perfectly into place, does there need to be a reason? When you meet someone and immediately click with them: sharing the same thoughts, being able to talk for hours without realizing how much time has passed, does there have to be an explanation? The whole "right place, right time" idea, it happens. Maybe it's fate. Maybe it's the natural course of life. Maybe everyone needs those few precious moments where everything is perfect. Maybe they need those special people they can connect with without trying. Maybe those rare perfect moments in life happen to make up for the inevitable hardships they face. But what if those few perfect moments and people aren't as rare as they seem? What if we're all just so convinced that everything takes monumental efforts to work? Could it be that we convince ourselves that things shouldn't be easy? That we shouldn't be entitled to pure, unmitigated happiness? That's what we learn isn't it? "You have to work for what you want." Not that everything should be handed to you on a silver platter, but I am not convinced. Are we too blinded by the way we think life should be to notice that those perfections are more obvious than we thought? Why do we have those moments and meet those people and everything fits? You don't have to force it and that makes it better. When something happens without any influence from you. It's almost shocking. Maybe if we stopped doing so many things, desperately trying to make things work, life would be easier. Maybe if we realized that by trying so hard we're not allowing ourselves to be real. When you just relax and take things as they come, it seems like everything gets better. When you stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and stop trying to impress them, you can breathe and be yourself. That's when you meet those people who just seem to understand you. It's refreshing and exciting, but also kind of sad. Sad because so many people can't do that. So many people will go their entire lives just trying, and not living. They will never truly be happy. Let go and just live. Maybe my little philosophy on life jibes with the words of John Lennon: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you will join us. And the world will live as one." Maybe it really is that easy. Life isn't as complicated as it's made out to be.
